In December 2022, I decided to expand my travel options and try taking a cruise. I booked my first 7-day cruise to Alaska on the NCL Encore with my extended family and friends for June 2023. I was hesitant at first because I thought that cruising was for “old” people, and boy was I wrong.
The cruise to Alaska was an enjoyable experience. It was so nice to go to sleep in one place and wake up in another without checking in or out of a hotel. I also found that I was able to relax more on a cruise ship, knowing that everything was taken care of. The food was good to excellent, the entertainment plentiful, and the drinks … well, I wasn’t driving.
